Được sự tài trợ của Tổ chức phi chính phủ Hợp tác Quốc tế vì sự Phát triển và Đoàn kết (CIDSE), năm 1999, Trung tâm Nghiên cứu Ứng dụng Phân bón Vi sinh đã thực hiện dự án: Sản xuất rau hữu cơ tại xã Yên Nội, huyện Từ Liêm, Hà Nội
Mục tiêu của dự án:
Thử nghiệm khả năng kỹ thuật và hiệu quả kinh tế cảu việc sản xuất rau hữu cơ trên cơ sở các tiêu chuẩn quốc tế về sản xuất chế biến rau hữu cơ ở Việt Nam
Mục đích của dự án:
- Hỗ trợ nhóm nông dân hữu cơ Yên Nội làm mái che cho các ruông rau hữu cơ, nhằm tránh thiệt hại bởi ánh nắng mặt trời cũng như lượng mưa lớn trong mùa hè.
- Phát triển các giải pháp giải quyết một số sâu bệnh hại chính trên rau.
- Phát triển phương pháp thúc đẩy quá trình làm phân ủ.
- Phân tích hiệu quả kinh tế của sản xuất rau hữu cơ.
- Phân tích chất lượng rau và đất.
- Nâng cao sự vận hành của nhóm nông dân Yên Nội, đặc biệt trong các lĩnh vực về quản lý chất lượng cũng như thị trường.
Hoạt động chính của dự án:
- Dựng mái che
- Thiết kế các thí nghiệm để xác định các loại sâu bệnh hại chính trên các loại rau chính tại Yên Nội, tìm kiếm các cách quản lý hiệu quả, ít chi phí phù hợp với nguyên tắc của nông nghiệp hữu cơ.
- Phát triển phương pháp sản xuất lọai “enzym” nhằm thúc đẩy quá trình phân hủy chất hữu cơ trong phân ủ.
- So sánh hiệu quả của sản xuất rau hữu cơ.
- Phân tích dư lượng thuốc sâu, hàm lượng nitrat trong rau và đất.
- Tổ chức các khóa tập huấn liên quan đến sản xuất nông nghiệp hữu cơ cho nhóm nông dân.
